Standard Terms of Agreement

Terms of Engagement

When Macnaughton McGregor Ltd are engaged by a client the precise scope of work will be defined in the latest version of the proposal Macnaughton McGregor Ltd submitted to that client. The associated professional fees and the treatment of expenses and materials will also be defined in the last submitted proposal.

All professional fees are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate. Any expenses incurred in the provision of professional services that are subsequently recharged to the client are also subject to VAT at the prevailing rate (regardless of the level of the professional fee).

Payment

Will be within 30 (Thirty) days from date of invoice. Invoice details and any required Purchase Order numbers, etc. must be received prior to delivery of the course otherwise an administrative fee at the current rate will be charged along with interest on the whole invoice amount for every extra month (or part month over 1 month) that the information is not provided.

Macnaughton McGregor Ltd will endeavour within reason to ensure that all transactions and presentations will be performed within our internal policies, procedures and codes of practice.  However no responsibility can be accepted for cancellation or postponement that is outside our control.

Postponement and Cancellation

If a confirmed booking is postponed or cancelled the following terms will apply:

Where the date of receipt of notification of postponement or cancellation is:

15 – 28 days before the event: 25% of the total agreed fee will be payable to ourselves

8 – 14 days before the event: 50% of the total agreed fee will be payable to ourselves

7 days’ notice or less: 100% of the total agreed fee will be payable to ourselves

In addition to the above, where cancellation is with 7 days’ notice or less, any travel and accommodation costs already been incurred and which cannot be refunded, in whole or in part, will be charged on at cost.

In appreciation of the research and preparation done by Macnaughton McGregor Ltd in advance of an event, a charge will be made reflecting the amount of research and preparation (e.g. visits to client’s premises) done if a programme is developed and the delivery does not take place.
